Dog Walking in the Cotswolds

Bringing your Best Friend to the Cotswolds

The Cotswolds are an incredibly popular tourist destination, but as with any holiday, taking your dog along can sometimes be difficult. Thankfully, cottage rental companies now provide Cotswold accommodation that is designed especially to accomodate those with pets!

The Great Outdoors

The Cotswolds are known for their outstanding natural beauty. The area is the textbook definition of unspoilt English countryside; fantastic to explore, and your canine companion will love it (especially if he/she is used to an urban environment).

Dogs love getting back to nature; you only have to look at the attitude change when you take your dog for a woodland walk; it’s like instinct takes over; they’re overwhelmed by the sites and smells that nature provides. A dog’s senses are sharper than our own; the sense of wellbeing we feel from being outdoors is greatly amplified in our four legged buddies!

Pet Friendly Holidays Gaining Popularity

As people become increasingly aware of the great environment we have available to us, British domestic holidays (those that stay within the boundaries of the UK) are gaining in popularity. This bodes well for those that want to take their dog with them when travelling!

Short term cottage rentals are perfect for pet owners; many dictate that pets are allowed in their cottages, and most feature beautiful rural surroundings which are guaranteed to keep your pet happy.

The recession did negatively impact international tourism, but looking on the brighter side, the benefits to domestic tourism have been great. Reluctance to buy expensive plane tickets and hotels has been a great boost for the short term cottage rental market, which is in turn great news for our canine comrades.
